10.6: Remove time/date stamp from screen shot filenames - Mac OS X Hints
Fantastic hint. Time/date stamp is so annoying, especially because dznr.org widget wouldn’t accept such files.

Revving up1262562900
I spent a good chunk of the weekend playing with this baby. Here’s what I managed to achieve:
- Misc stuff like customizing CSS, separating it from HTML and compressing a bit.
- Added bits and pieces for tag and search results display.
- Installed Tag Cloud: could be useful (shrug). Grabbed from here.
- Added commenting functionality to posts, via Disqus (SO simple!)
- Twitter: so that I can see when Tumblr tweets my posts or I tweet about Tumblr. Copy-paste installation. Grabbed from here.
- Lightbox. This was quite challenging (for the impaired!) and particularly satisfying when it finally started working. Maybe it’s because I had SO MUCH hell with Lightbox back in the day. Anyway, I followed these instructions.
It makes a bit more sense now. I’m stoked how simple and quick it was to make all these changes. Most of code changing was brainless copy-pasting and editing CSS was hugely simplified thanks to CSSEdit. I have to say it’s a very pleasant experience, and a very different one from the hell I used to go through with Wordpress. TOO. MANY. WEIRD. SYMBOLS. :S
At this point design was viewed in Safari only. I’m not sure if I care about other browsers but if you find any glaring bugs — feel free to let me know!
